One Stage of Entertainment on Friday Night
FRIDAY NIGHT
5:30- Rob & Skye

Robert Abernathy, a multi-award-winning country artist and Song of the Year recipient at the Josie Music Awards at the Grand Ole Opry, is known for his commanding stage presence and powerful storytelling. Skylar Wallace, named Alabama Female Artist of the Year 2025, brings undeniable energy and powerhouse vocals that light up every stage she steps on.
6:30pm – Amy Knight

A hometown favorite back this year. Amy has performed as a solo artist as well as the group Back In Time. You probably have seen her perform the national anthem or on stage leading worship at Church of the Highlands Fultondale Campus.
7pm-Gardendale High School Pep Rally

This year, the Gardendale Park Competition Teams, K-1st and 4th-5th grade, will be joining us for the pep rally!
Headliner Friday 7:30pm– Alabama Tribute Band

Experience the timeless music of one of country music’s greatest bands with Alabama Sunset Band, a high-energy tribute celebrating the legendary sound of Alabama.Audiences can expect all the iconic hits that made Alabama a household name, including “Mountain Music,” “Dixieland Delight,” “Feels So Right,” “Tennessee River,” and many more. From heartfelt ballads to foot-stomping anthems, the show captures the spirit, harmony, and energy that made Alabama one of the most successful bands in country music history.

SATURDAY UAB Medicine Stage
10:30am- Josh Kinney

Gardendale native Josh Kinney, whose songs mix the twang of modern country music with the beat-heavy bounce of contemporary pop. A lifelong music fan, he didn’t have to look far for inspiration, taking his cues from old-school icons like George Strait and 21st century country-pop hitmakers like Florida Georgia Line and Jason Aldean. He’s a country star for the fans whose musical tastes are all-encompassing, influenced by genre-bending playlists and the ever-widening range of contemporary country music.
11:30 am – Brad Thomas

Eric Lemons and Brad Thomas are a duo from the heart of Alabama telling heartfelt stories of the Southern experience through song. From Alabama venues to the songwriter rounds of Nashville crowds have been entertained by their genuine country sound!
12:30- Flywheel

You don’t want to miss our friends Flywheel. The band is a 3 piece group that will take you back to some of your favorite 80’s,90’s and even current hits. They bring so much talent and energy to the stage you will enjoy and sing along with every hit. Look for Rick, Scott, and Randy to take the UAB stage at 12:30pm on Sat April 18!
1:30pm- Dan Cater

Dan Cater is a Hoover based teacher, choir director, and musician. His musical style is acoustic singer-songwriter, country, americana, and beach music. Dan is a father of three boys and an avid Formula One fan.
2:30- Franklin Davis Montgomery
Franklin Davis Montgomery is a Gardendale local who has passion for Leading other to the Lord while entertaining with his music. He’s lived in Gardendale his whole life and has been playing music for 13 years. His main genre is in worship and country sometimes a mix of both.

3:30- The Southern Boys Band with Special Guest, Chris Fryar (drummer for Zac Brown Band)

“Hometown Southern Rock at its finest. The Southern Boys Band are hometown from right here in Gardendale, Al. They have performed with some of the all time greats of Southern Rock. They will be joined with their longtime friends including Chris Fryer who also is a Gardendale hometown drummer for the Country artist favorite Zac Brown. They will close out the UAB stage on Sat at 3:30pm. You don’t want to miss this as there are even more surprise guests joining them for this event!”
